Asociación Ecuatoriana para el Fomento de la Investigación Educativa (AEFIE)

The general objective of the Asociación Ecuatoriana de Investigación Educative (AEFIE) is to develop the quality of educational research in Ecuador through establishing a national association for educational research. AEFIE will explicitly focus on enabling and stimulating collaboration among Ecuadorian educational research-ers, seeks to enhance the academic capacity to conduct educational research and will contribute to the knowledge ex-change, dissemination and valorisation of research findings. A balanced package of activities will be initiated and coordinated by the association: an annual education research conference, funding opportuni-ties for summer schools, master classes and extension activities, recognition and communication about re-search through annual prices. Key to a country wide association is to establish a strong steering committee with authorities from several Ecuadorian universities, as well as an international advisory board in order to learn from international experienc-es and experts. An important aspect of the project is to develop a strategic plan to make the association inde-pendent and self-supportive.
